PASSION FOR THE WORK

Jessica Rotz grew up helping with her family’s day camp business, and after seeing thousands of children come through their doors, she developed a great heart for serving the younger generation.  A particular girl-hood dream was to help orphan children.  Jessica first met Pastor Mekala after getting an email announcing he was going to speak at a church in her area.  She was moved by Pastor Mekala’s testimony, and immediately captivated by the idea of helping the destitute orphans in India.  In 2005, she began planning her own missions trip to Visakhapatnam.  A year later, she and a friend spent three incredible weeks at the orphanage.  Now the children at her family’s day camp help to raise money for the children in India.
She heads up the Bless India Office and is the person you speak to when you call the toll-free number.  She also manages all finances and accounting, and has been instrumental in organizing the sponsorship system and database.

EXPERIENCE

Jessica was home-schooled by her parents (both teachers), and began training to run the office of her family’s business when she was only thirteen years old.  While managing the office was a daunting task, Jessica knew God was leading through the will of her parents, and before she was 17 she was balancing the staff, daily schedules, finances, state certification requirements, and book-keeping of the business.  The demanding schedule helped Jessica to master the art of multi-tasking.

She continued to seek ministry opportunities throughout her years in the office.  She developed a Bible camp in at-risk neighborhoods, ministered though a ladies Bible study, and helped to run regional Bible Conferences.  Her organizational skills and attention to detail have dove-tailed perfectly with other members of the board.
