PASSION FOR THE WORK

Paul first heard about the work in India from friend and mentor Michael Denton, who showed him video footage from his 2002 trip to India.  Michael encouraged Paul that he should visit India too.  He says, “When I watched the video I came away with a sense of awe and fear— this was the real deal.  God was real and at work though broken and completely committed people.”  He recognized God was working in his heart, and that he would have to be broken spiritually to new levels in order to be used.  In 2003 he joined his sister on his first trip to India, totally relying on the Lord to sustain him.  It was an experience that greatly increased his faith.  He has since been to India three more times.

EXPERIENCE
Paul began developing a heart for service as a teenager, when he worked with a nationwide home schooling organization.  He used his skills in sports to build a bridge with the orphans, making sure to play “football” (soccer) with them every day.  Paul headed up a project with his college soccer team to film an instructional video to give the orphans.  It was an experience that impacted his fellow students almost more than the children in India.  He was later asked to share his testimony in an article which appeared in the Nichols College Magazine in 2005.

Paul has been privileged to travel with Pastor Mekala when he’s been visiting the U.S., and has helped to organize his speaking opportunities.   One of his greatest contributions to the ministry has been to coordinate the legal aspects of the ministry since its inception.  Through his efforts, the work has achieved its tax-exempt status.  As Chairman of the Board, he coordinates the board meetings, and assists with day-to-day operations.

FAMILY
Paul is the oldest of three children, with a younger brother and sister.  He lives in Southbridge, Massachusetts.
