Pastor Sudheer Mekala
Pastor, Evangelist, School Principal, as well as overseeing other aspects of the ministry.
As a child, Sudheer was carried on his father’s back as he traveled to remote villages to preach the Gospel. He had great exposure to the needs and the attitudes of the tribal people. However, he grew into adulthood without a heart for the things of God. When he married a Hindu woman against the wishes of his parents, the situation reached a crisis. But his wife proved to the tool that God would use to soften his heart. Usha became saved shortly after their marriage, and Sudheer soon followed. He was quickly on fire for the Lord and in 1999, he jumped into the ministry with both feet. His heart was especially burdened for the tribes, who are poverty stricken, superstitious, and spiritually oppressed. His bold demeanor and dogged determination have forged inroads with the tribal people where others would have faltered. He runs the Christian school which is now serving more than 600 poor children, and he shares full responsibility of the ministry with his brother when Pastor Mekala is in the U.S. Recently, he helped the ministry to start the orphanage in the tribal village of Paderu.
