THE MEKALA'S ARE IN THE U.S.
You may have heard information about some of the pressures the Mekala's are facing in India currently. God seems to be allowing them to be hard pressed on multiple fronts and chief among the issues revolves around a plot of land the Mekala's tried to sell. The situation has grown desperate and in response to these pressures Pastor Mekala and his wife have come to the states and will be here till July 20th.
Because of the nature of the situation the Bless India Board met with the Mekala's via phone and after prayer together decided that the focus of this trip would be much different. It is the vision of Bless India and the Mekalas that this trip would be a time of prayer, coming before the Lord together so that we will "not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present [our] requests to God." (Phillipians 4:6) There are very serious concerns pressing upon the ministry in India. We know that there are also very real and deep challenges faced by Christians in America. More than just meeting needs, we are desirous of seeing God move mightily to advance His kingdom. It is our deep desire to see more hearts and lives brought into the kingdom and deeply established in Christ as a result of our time spent in prayer.
During this time of strain and trouble, Bless India is reminded of our belief that “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16) We recognize that only God can provided the answers to the challenges the Mekalas are facing and are thus looking to focus on setting up prayer meetings where together we can seek the Lord - humbling ourselves before Him and looking to Him to act on behalf of the ministry and moving all of us to greater dependence on Him.
