MEDICAL
With the rampant diseases, difficult living conditions, and poor sanitation, medical care in the rural parts of India is always a big concern. Government-run clinics and hospitals in this area are unreliable and often a great distance away. With Pastor and Mrs. Mekala's medical background, they have a special vision for a Christian medical clinic that woudl meet both physical and spiritual needs.

 

EVERY DAY
He was nearing the end of his morning devotions.  As Pastor Mekala sat on the balcony of his room, overlooking the campus of Christ the King of Kings Ministries, he glimpsed the construction of the medical clinic.  His heart stirred within him.  It was almost finished.  While others would see only concrete and rebar, he saw a great vision.
He saw destitute Dalit families coming through its doors, desperation in their eyes.  They would probably wonder, upon their first visit, if it could really be true—medical care for them.  Hope of help for them.  Compassion and kindness for them.    It would be true.
They would treat injuries and diseases, and then give attention to the greatest need of all—the gaping, aching wound of their hearts.  They would lead each man, each woman, each child to the feet of the Great Physician, for medicine that is far more healing than any pill or bandage.  There they would hear about the God who loved them enough to die for their souls.  The only hurdle would be convincing these oppressed peoples that they could really be loved that much.
Devadas breathed a deep breath, praises on his lips.  Soon—if God blessed—the medical clinic would be a reality.

THE BEGINNING
My friends, we are at the beginning right now.  We are awaiting God’s provision for medical supplies to properly furnish the building, but by His grace, quite soon the clinic will be a full-blown reality!

PRAY!

    • For medical supplies—wheelchairs, beds, stethoscopes, syringes, medicine, a blood pressure machine, emergency equipment—there is so much yet to be provided.
    • For Christian medical staff.  We are earnestly seeking God for a male doctor and a female doctor.  Nurses are also needed.   It is a big request but our God is a big God!
