ORPHANAGE
Located in Visahkapatnam, India, the "Two Worlds Children's Home" serves what some might consider the "least" of all the people of India...abandoned or orphaned children. Here, these beautiful children are clothed, fed, educated, and loved. This ministry to children lies at the heart of Bless India, and is our joy and delight. Visitors to the orphanage today would find children who once worshipped the Hindu gods singing praises to the Lord, having exchanged their painful past for a joy that will never fade. Read more...
SCHOOL
One of Bless India's pivotal ministries to the local community is the Christian school program. In addition to being clearly taught God's plan of salvation, local children have a chance to learn to read and write English, which will greatly expand their opportunities for the future. Without this ministry, these Hindu and Muslim families may never have an opportunity to hear the Good News. Read more...
WIDOWS & ELDERLY
Without a husband or provider, widows are destitute and often homeless. Following the Biblical mandate of James 1:27, Bless India supports these women, as well as needy elderly couples by providing a home for them in Gadjuwaka. Some have come to live and help in the orphanage and school, and find joy in serving God in this way. Read more...
CHURCH PLANTING
The potential of a native pastor is invaluable in sharing the Gospel. Not only does he know the language, but he also knows and understands the culture, customs, and obstacles that an Indian faces. Although these Indians will undoubtedly experience ridicule, prejudice, and persecution, they have yielded their lives to God's service. Bless India provides training and support for these pastors and evangelists, who otherwise might not be able to continue in this work. Read more...
TRIBAL OUTREACH
Reaching the unreached tribal regions of India is a vision of Devedas and Sarojini Mekala, who have traveled frequently to these parts to preach the Gospel to the illiterate and poor tribal people who live in the border of the states of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. Now the baton has been passsed onto the next generation of evangelists: their sons, who have taken the challenge of reaching the people who live deep in the mountains, as well as young people ready to take the Gospel to their own people. MEDICAL
With the rampant diseases, difficult living conditions, and poor sanitation, medical care in the rural parts of India is always a big concern. Government-run clinics and hospitals in this area are unreliable and often a great distance away. With Pastor and Mrs. Mekala's medical background, they have a special vision for a Christian medical clinic that woudl meet both physical and spiritual needs. Read more...
Bless India exists to support the work of God in India through the work of Christ the King of Kings Ministries, which is organized under the laws of India and is managed by Pastor and Sarojini Mekala. Bless India, a United States non-profit organization, is intended to act as the American Support arm of the ministry.
